We are leaving for THAILAND tonight. OMG.
Another place on this glorious Earth I have dreamed of touching with my bare feet. I am bubbling from my belly.
Jackie and I both wrap up our time in Varkala, she heads back to bid farewell to Lakshmi, I head to meditate on the beach (and drink chai!).
Ok. I must share a bit of ignorance…I thought eagles were cold climate birds only, which is evidently a fallacy for eagles fly abundantly here above the sea. Eagles. South Indian Eagles, soaring with elegance. I need to go back to 3rd grade and learn my animals.
Another sister from Jackie’s previous tour in northern India has arrived effortlessly at our same hotel, in perfect time to have a moment to share before we head to the airport. Jackie conveys messages as do I, our Norwegian friend weeping in a bit of confusion but with sincere gratitude. The spirit of her grandmother very present and adoring, the reunion of us all allowing for sacred healing.
Departure for the airport via a stinky and traffic filled ride, passing by countless fruit stands, men and woman in traditional garb, colorful temples, communist flags, garbage piles, all the glory of India.
I am a bit ill on the ride and Jackie appreciatively places me in an energetic bubble of light…I feel stoned and completely out-of-body. I float through immigration and via the gate, passing out on our four hour flight to Singapore.
Goodbye India! Thank you Vishnu, Krisha, Shiva, Ganesh, Saraswati, Parvati, Radha…Hello Buddha!
A Shaman’s Prayer
I am already given to the power that rules my fate.
I cling to nothing, so I have nothing to defend.
I have no thoughts, so I will See.
I fear nothing, so I will remember myself.
Detached and at ease, I will dart past the Eagle
To be free.
